Year 6 Residential Trip
Friday 19 May
The children had a great time at the disco last night, dancing and singing the night away.
A busy morning today with their final activity, departure games and presentations.
Everyone is looking forward to coming home and having a rest!
Coach is nearly here - estimated to be back at school for 3.00pm
Thursday 18 May
Wednesday will be known as the rain day!! Even though we spent the day wet, we did not let it dampen our fun. We loved kayaking, it was AMAZING. We learnt all about how to be safe, paddle forwards and backwards, we played fun games and a few of us ganged up and splashed Mr Brewer!! Most of us jumped out of our kayaks then back on to play more games. We all agreed it was the best activity.
A double film night followed as the rain washed out the camp fire! We watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Minions, we were all very tired, except for Sky Martin and Lily Turner who sang in their rooms keeping Mr Brewer awake, oh he laughed!!
Today we have been launching rockets and are getting wet and wild, this afternoon we are all heading to the beach then getting ready for our gala dinner and DISCO!! We have made lots of new friends from Stoke & Allhallows and have learnt new songs ... FIRE IT UP!!!
Wednesday 17 May
Today we have battled the rain! It is like a monsoon here, but has not stopped everyone from taking part in archery and survival skills. Later today it will be kayaking and abseiling - a lot of fun is in store!!
Unfortunately it looks like the camp fire wil be rained off so it will be indoor singing around a pretend fire - disappointing but that is the English weather. Another cinema night after that and then up early and refreshed ready to hit the beach tomorrow and get ready for our disco.
Year 6 are missing everyone in school and at home!
Tuesday 16 May
Tuesday afternoon saw everyone getting wet and wild, with fun games in the outdoor pool, some of the children put on the snorkels and headed under water for fun games! Everyone enjoyed a climbing activity followed by a TV game show style quiz.
Dinner was a feast of toad in the hole, curly fries, fish fingers and apple crumble. Then it was PJs on, grabbed their pillows for a cinema night and a few treats enjoyed by all!! Everyone was very tired and good night sleep had by all.
Look at the photo of Mr Brewer who is sporting a cool 'man bun' thanks to Georgia and Ellie who are his new stylists!!
The sun is out today and we have been rotating our activities, we are all raft building this afternoon, so teamwork is going to be essential. We have a cinema night after dinner and our final activities, so we are all very excited.
After a rainy arrival, we all settled in and started with the Gladiator Wall, Rocket launching, climbing and survival skills! The restaurant is excellent and we all enjoyed a feast of chicken, pasta and jacket potatoes, think posh Harvester!! Unlimited salad car!! Whoop whoop!
Residential Trip children arrived safe.
